Preparing for your spray tan will make all the difference in the outcome.  Properly caring for your spray tan will lengthen its life, and keep you looking natural.  Here are a few tips for getting a great looking sunless tan!

Always exfoliate the day before your spray tan session.  Shave the day before as well!  Do not wear any lotions, perfumes, makeup, or deodorant the day of.  Products such as these can block the spray tan solution from your skin.  Wear loose fitting dark clothing home, if it looks like it might rain bring an umbrella!  You do not want to get wet for 8 hours.  Use a tan extender with DHA every other day to keep your sunless tan looking fresh!

Tricks for the Hands and Feet!

Hands and feet are probably the most difficult body parts to spray tan convincingly. You don't want them too dark, and you want them to fade into the arms and legs.  We've found a pretty good method to having natural looking spray tanned hands and feet.

Blend, blend, blend!  This will make the sunless tan less harsh.  Saturate a soft cloth with spray tan solution, and spray the hands.  Blend into the creases of the fingers, between the fingers, and into the wrist with the soft cloth dampened with solution.  Do the same with the feet, blending up into the ankle.  Have your client wash his or her hands a few hours after their spray tan to keep them from developing too dark!
